This documentary-style video highlights the Black Men's Coalition barbershop event. The goal was to capture more than just the haircuts, focusing on the conversations, personalities, and atmosphere throughout the day. The piece shows how the event became a space for people to connect, relax, and express themselves, reflecting the community-centered spirit of the BMC club.

BMC Basketball Video
This video was created to promote a 3v3 basketball tournament hosted by the Black Men's Coalition. I focused on capturing the fast pace and competitiveness of the games while also showing the energy of the event and the people who came out to play and support. Through quick edits and moments on the court, the video highlights the excitement of the tournament and the community BMC brings together.

Urban Nature
This three channel video piece was created for my Digital Studio course. The work explores the contrast between urban life, rural environments, and abstraction through moving image and sound. The top left channel shows footage of the city and transportation, capturing the speed, structure, and constant motion of urban spaces. The top right channel presents scenes of the countryside, including landscapes and rural farming, creating a slower and more grounded visual rhythm.

The bottom channel introduces a more abstract visual layer made from a collection of varied footage such as bubbling water, a man stepping in mud, clouds, fields of flowers, the interior of an airport, and broken glass. Over this imagery, red animated scribbles move across the screen, outlining shapes, tracking movement, and highlighting small details within the footage.
The audio is based on Ribbed and Veined by Cocteau Twins (1991), which I warped and edited to create a more hypnotic soundscape. The manipulated audio helps unify the three channels, giving the piece a rhythmic and immersive atmosphere as the visuals shift between city, countryside, and abstraction.
